Terms

Plain language, not legal advice. This page says what the service is, what you pay, and how cancelling works.

What this service is

BookedPlate gives caterers a quote form, a dashboard for their inquiries, and a way to take deposits from their guests. Guests use a caterer's quote form to request a price.

Your subscription

You pay a monthly subscription on Stripe's secure checkout page. Every subscription starts with a 14-day free trial: your card is collected up front, but it is not charged until the trial ends. You can cancel before the trial ends and pay nothing.

After the trial, your card is charged every month until you cancel. To cancel, open Manage billing in your dashboard (Stripe's billing page) or contact us. Cancelling turns your quote form off at the end of the billing period; your data is kept.

Deposits from your guests

If you connect your own Stripe account, guests can pay you a deposit through your quote form. Deposit money goes straight to you. We take no fee on deposits. You are responsible for your own refunds and for following Stripe's rules for your account.

Your responsibilities

Keep your private dashboard link private. Set your own menu, prices, and availability. Reply to your own guests. What you promise your guests is between you and them.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will never go down. If something breaks, tell us and we will fix it.

Changes

We may update these terms or the service. If a change matters, we will say so in plain language.
